Growing in Faith Together is a faith formation opportunity with focus on the family. In past years, families gather to enjoy a meal, learn about our faith and particiapte in age-appropriate groups. Due to the current pandemic, we've decided not to physically gather this fall (2020). We will re-evaluate in December regarding our spring schedule.
Our goal is to provide parents the opportunity to grow in their faith and equip them to share the Catholic Faith with their children.
GIFT allows the whole family to grow in faith together. Recognizing the craziness of the current year, we are keeping it simple. Beginning in October, we will have two short (30-40 minutes) Zoom sessions each month; one adult meeting and one family meeting. This is an opportunity for you to gather(virtually) with like-minded parents and ask questions of our catechist. Parents are provided with resources and the choice of easy, simple activities to do at home that connect the truths of our faith with daily life. Our catechists will encourage and guide you through the process. The focus of '20-'21 is Christian prayer. Some of the topics for this year include:
September 23, 2020 - 6:30 pm - Welcome and orientation for parents (by Zoom). Meet our catechists, learn our structure.
October through December - virtual gatherings twice a month at 6:30 pm. One gathering will be for parents - the other for parents and children. Additional resources and activities will be shared as we go along. October 7th & 21st, November 4th & 18th, December 2nd & 16th.
January through May - hopefully we can resume our schedule of gathering twice a month on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30PM on the second floor of the Father Quigley Center. One parent (or other adult) is expected to attend with their child(ren).
Registration can be done in one of two ways:
