Growing in Faith Together is a faith formation opportunity with focus on both parents and children. Wednesday evenings, twice a month, families focus on teachings of the faith and concrete ways to live them out in their home.
Our goal is to provide parents the opportunity to grow in their faith and equip them to share the Catholic Faith with their children. Our catechists will encourage and guide you through the process.
GIFT allows the whole family to grow in faith together. Recognizing the craziness of our lives, we are trying to keep it simple with a mixture of virtual and in-person sessions. This is an opportunity to gather with like-minded parents and ask questions of our catechists. Parents are provided with resources and the choice of easy, simple activities to do at home throughout the month. Sessions with children are interactive and promote living the faith at home. In-person sessions focus on specific moments or seasons within our liturgical year. The focus of '20-'21 is Life in Christ. Some of the topics include:
September 22, 2021 - 6:30 pm - Welcome and orientation for parents (by Zoom). You'll get to meet our catechists and learn our structure.
General structure - Virtual gatherings via Zoom twice a month at 6:30 pm. The first gathering each month will be for parents - the other for parents and children.
*Sprinkled throughout the year - four in-person gatherings will be held on the second floor of the Father Quigley Center.
One parent (or other adult) is expected to attend with their child(ren).
