Deacon Dana has been a native of Kansas City his entire life, attending high school in Olathe, then obtaining his degree from Ottawa University, and ultimately a master's degree from Mid-America Nazarene Seminary.
He has a long history of working with youth in the area. His background includes teaching English for 13 years and coaching the varsity soccer team at Olathe North and St. James Academy. Dana and his wife Deborah started the archdiocesan summer camp, Camp Takawitha, and have run it for the last 24 years.
Dana was ordained a permanate deacon in 2011, and serves as the Archdiocesan Director of Evangelization by supporting priests'and lay persons' efforts in evangelization throughout the area . At Holy Trinity he serves at Masses and on various parish task committees.
Dana and Deborah have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. They enjoy swimming, snow skiing and outdoor adventures. They love being members of Holy Trinity Parish, and are so proud that their two adult children with their families are active members as well.
