Father Tom was born in Washington State but moved with his parents shortly thereafter to Omaha, Nebraska where he went to elementary school. They relocated to Prairie Village in 1958, 2 weeks before Bishop Miege High School opened its doors for the first time. Father Tom was a member of Miege's first graduating class.
Father Tom's years of formation were at Conception Seminary and Mt. St. Bernard Seminary and the Aquinas School of Theology in Dubuque, Iowa. He was ordained on May 22, 1970 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in Overland Park, Kansas.
Some of the highlights of his ministry besides serving as pastor in many great parishes include serving on the Diocesan Liturgical Committee, the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council, and serving twice as State Chaplain for the Kansas Knights of Columbus.
Father Tom served as Pastor of Holy Trinity Parish from 2001 to 2011, and now returns as Pastor Emeritus. We are grateful for his return to our parish family, and look forward to his hearty laugh and personal spiritual care.
