Marriage Preparation Coordinatorsmarriagehtlenexa.orgTogether Katy and Kevin stepped into the coordinator role of Holy Trinity's Marriage Preparation Ministry in June of 2024. They have been active parishioners since their wedding at Holy Trinity in 2012.
Katy is a registered nurse and works at KU Medical Center with cardiology as her favored specialty. She is a trained Creighton Model teacher, which is a method of Natural Family Planning. Speaking on this topic to engaged couples at HT is how she and Kevin got involved in the Marriage Ministry. Katy also coordinates the Advent Giving Tree program and leads a ministry for families to borrow baby equipment called Borrow Baby’s Basics.
Kevin is a native of the Kansas City area, and taught Math in the past at Rockhurst High School. He has since obtained an additional degree in accounting and will complete his MBA in 2024. Kevin works in accounting/finance at HTNB. He has been involved with the parish's Journey treats, various men’s groups, and spends a Holy Hour each week at the Adoration Chapel.
Katy and Kevin are parents to six children: George, Carolyn, Sam, Paul, Ben and Audrey.Their older children attend Holy Trinity School and are involved in many activites, especially soccer. The family loves to go campling together as often as they can during the summer months.
Katy and Kevin are passionate about their faith and their support of the Marriage Preparation Ministry. They are humbled and excited to get to know couples and help them prepare for the incredible sacrament of Marriage.
