Holy Trinity Catholic School is committed to providing an outstanding Catholic education rooted in academic excellence, faith formation, and continuous improvement. Our school participates in the accreditation process established by the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas and is currently engaged in the Lumen accreditation system, the Archdiocese's framework for ongoing school improvement and accountability.
What is Lumen?
Lumen is the newly adopted accreditation system for all Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas schools. In preparation for a review in the 2028-29 school year, we will provide continuous progress on the areas identified in our last visit using COGNIA. Currently, the initiatives include:
- Individual Plans of Study
- Kindergarten Readiness
- Social Emotional Learning
To determine what areas we are going to improve we rely on data collected from Kansas Assessments, STAR tests, chapter and unit tests, and just about any other data we can use to help our kids. One of the most important pieces is our surveys. We started this cycle with a survey for parents, teachers, students, and alumni of HTS. We gathered that information and used that to help narrow in on three areas for improvement: reading, writing, and religion.
