Holy Trinity parishioners are given the opportunity each Advent & Christmas season to offer support to some local charity groups and families that have been identified as in need. Notices are placed in the Bulletin, in the parish newsletter, and on our website's homepage as the season draws near explaining how you can offer support in the form of cash, gift cards and specific needs. Thank you for your generosity of spirit!
St. Vincent De Paul: Christmas Assistance for Families in Need
The Christmas season can be an especially difficult time for many families in our community. Each year our St. Vincent de Paul ministry collects donations of cash and gift cards to help out those in need.
If you or your faith group would like to help out someone in need this Christmas and beyond, you can Venmo @htparish -using code 4406- with "St. Vinny's" in the note OR drop off your gift cards in the Parish Office.
If questions, contact Parish Administrator Laura Weber at 913-895-0685. Thank you for your generosity of spirit in this beautiful season of giving!
Advent Giving Tree
Each Advent Holy Trinity's Respect Life Ministry sponsors an "Advent Giving Tree." This tree is decorated with special ornaments and placed in the Main Church lobby. Parishioners are then encouraged to take an "ornament" from the tree, and purchase the item listed for donation. Unwrapped gift items will be sorted and then delivered to the designated charity agency by Respect Life volunteers.
This is a wonderful way to give back to those who need it the most; and a great way to teach your children the joy in giving. Thank you in advance for your generosity of spirit!
Pointsettia Memorials
Each December Holy Trinity offers the opportunity for parishioners to donate poinsettias to beautify the altar and church at Christmas. Each donation of $25 covers the cost of a beautiful poinsettia, and parishioners are encouraged to offer this donation in honor of -or in memory of - a loved one. It's a beautiful way to remember our loved ones at this special time of year.
If you'd like to do this, just pick up a Poinsettia envelope at the Welcome Desk in the church lobby, and return it with your donation in the Sunday offertory collection basket during Mass.
After the Feast of the Epiphany in January, those who donated are welcome to take one of the poinsettias home with them.
KofC Toy Drive
Bring your new or gently used toys to the circle drive this weekend - the Knights are holding their annual Toy Drive Saturday morning and before and after all Masses. All donations will go to kids in foster care. Help make a kid's Christmas a merry one!
