Holy Trinity's OCIA (formerly RCIA) program welcomes all who would like to prepare for entrance into the Catholic Church. Through ritual, education, prayer, service, and community we will journey together as disciples of Jesus Christ.

This journey of faith ministry is a process of carefully planned stages - marked by liturgical rites in the presence of the whole community - in which inquirers embark on and join us in a continuing and deepening conversion into faith and discipleship. Please review the FAQ Document  if you are interested in learning more. We would love to talk with you and welcome you into the Church! For any questions about OCIA, please contact Deacon Stuart Holland at 913-888-2770 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. Volunteering with OCIA

Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis to support and sponsor OCIA candidates. Being a sponsor is an extremely important ministry in our parish, and an ideal way to share our beautiful Catholic faith with others. Qualifications for an OCIA sponsor:

  • Must be a Catholic who has received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion
  • Attends Mass regularly and in good standing with the Church
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Be willing to commit to a candidate for a period of one year in order to support them through the process.

If you feel "nudged" by the Holy Spirit and are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Julius Madas at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
